WHY: Kearny Street Workshop's writing program offers a safe, culturally sensitive space for students from the APA communities and beyond to explore their creativity through writing. All of our instructors are Asian Pacific American.

WHAT: Explorations in Creative Writing will be an all-level, all-genre course examining the many different facets of content. There will be components of craft relating to poetry, prose as well as nonfiction writing. However, main focus of this course will be an exploration of one's personal content. This is where the act of writing begins. Through a series of writing exercises, we will begin the foundations to a larger body of work. This will be a generative process workshop devoted to the development of the individual voice. At journey's end, each student will be equipped with the materials to truly begin the act of writing.

WHO-STUDENTS: All levels welcome! All genres welcome! These classes are geared toward adults over 18. Prospective students younger than 18 should contact KSW before registering.
