APAture Runway: Call for designers and models Gray Area Gallery Thursday, August 14, 2008 Doors open at 7:30pm, Show 8:00pm $15-25 sliding scale APAture Runway represents an opportunity for local emerging designers to showcase a 7-10 piece runway collection in support of emerging Asian American artists and performers. All proceeds will help fund Kearny Street Workshop's 10th Annual APAture Festival. Designers are encouraged to donate one item to the silent auction. No experience required for models. APAture Kearny Street Workshop's APAture is an annual multidisciplinary arts festival presenting the work of emerging Asian Pacific American artists living and/or working in the San Francisco Bay Area. APAture's mission is to provide artists with an early experience presenting their work at a large event; to build audiences for emerging APA artists; to strengthen the sense of community among our young artists; and to raise awareness of the existence of and diversity within the APA arts community.
