Community is Everything! Ways to Create a Culture of Care w/ Kearny Street Workshop
This winter, Kearny Street Workshop’s (KSW) “Community is Everything” is a belief that will build a better society for future generations. Our goal is to raise $35,000 at www.givebutter.com/ksw!

In 2025 we hosted our 27th APAture festival. A home for emerging Asian Pacific Islander artists and cultural organizers since 1999. We provided places of rest and retreat, so that artists could recoup, heal, and grow together. We showcased visual art from creatives who were deeply committed to their communities. This past year, we continued this work amongst real crises in our vulnerable communities. We continued organizing, storytelling, community building, and art-making. With this work, we make a bid towards connection.
At our root, KSW is a community that looks to art as a source of connection and empowerment. Time and time again, we’ve seen how community building is at the heart of brighter futures. In times of unbelievable injustice, countless stories of bravery also appear as an antidote to the painful reality we are facing together. KSW is one of those stories, and it is a community that thrives because we care for it.

All you have to do to sign up is click the ‘Fundraise’ button under Team Members here: https://givebutter.com/KSW/join (you may be prompted to start an account)
Then, set a monetary goal. Fundraising may be out of your comfort zone, but it’s surprisingly easy to do when you believe in the work. Set that $500 goal and see the magic happen.
Write 1-2 sentences about why you want to support KSW and why you think your audiences should too. You can copy and paste one of the following summaries as well:
