Giving Tuesday is your chance to donate to Kearny Street Workshop’s “Community is Everything” - we’ve set an ambitious but necessary goal is to raise $35,000 at www.givebutter.com/ksw! Your meaningful gift will help us get closer to building sustainability for our work empowering AAPI communities through arts and culture. Through your consistent support over the years, KSW has weathered many storms. This next year is sure to be a tough one for many nonprofits, arts organizations, and AAPI communities. KSW is a community that looks to art as a source of connection and empowerment. Time and time again, we’ve seen how community building is at the heart of brighter futures. Will you donate to KSW, to help us prove that we still need places to gather around art? That the arts are still a necessary part of the world we’re building?
With your support, we commit to standing tall as the community hub for APIs we have always been:
educating emerging artists and growing class consciousness through workshops with BIPOC instructors such as Interdisciplinary Writer’s Lab and by hosting historically grounded exhibitions showcasing the history of activism and art
gathering resources and making safer spaces for artists to gather through programs such as APAture Festival, featuring emerging AAPI artists to audiences eager for their work
amplifying voices and empowering communities through KSW Presents and artist led programs such as Asian American Visual Artists’ Lab (AVA lab)
Art is essential to organizing, to evolution, to a politics that says every person matters and discovering in action what we do to protect each other. We can’t do any of this without community. Community is Everything, so will you donate to KSW today?
