MAHJONG Salon, a Fundraiser for Kearny Street Workshop - Sept 19th 4PM-7PM
Dear supporters near and far,
We are so excited to be hosting this one-of-a-kind Hong Kong style Mahjong Salon, a fundraiser for KSW (taught by Ariel Mihic of Four Flowers Mahjong Salon) on Saturday, September 19th, 4PM-7PM at Arc Gallery & Studios (1246 Folsom SF, CA). Mahjong is a game of tiles, won through strategy and played with a lot of heart. You may have heard that your friends, coworkers, aunties, cousins, long ago FB friends are all learning Mahjong. Well, here's your chance to learn and play this epic game!
Your ticket will go directly to supporting Kearny Street Workshop's annual APAture Festival, a festival for emerging AAPI artists founded in 1999.
Suggested donations $25-$65, any donation above $10 accepted for entry for a beginner lesson and open play (all levels welcome). Prizes available for winners/winning teams!

Kearny Street Workshop's APAture Festival is an annual, month-long multidisciplinary arts festival that showcases emerging Asian American and Pacific Islander artists throughout San Francisco. APAture is in its 27th year of supporting emerging artists from across the Bay Area! From October 17th to December 12th, we’ll be presenting three showcases in Visual, Literary, and Film arts. This year’s theme is GENERATION. At this pivotal moment for APAture, we turn our focus toward what we inherit, what we cultivate, and what we pass on. We invite artists to reflect on GENERATION in all its meanings: a place of ancestry, mentorship, responsibility, and renewal.
