Asian American Virtual Histories is an intergenerational oral history project. Originally conceived in collaboration with Balay Kreative, the collected interviews of this initiative conducted with recognized trailblazers like Jessica Hagedorn and Leland Wong, and emerging artists alike, illuminate Kearny Street Workshop’s 50 years of community arts dating back to the height of the Asian American Movement.

This special edition features newly edited extended interviews with our AAVH contributors: Jessica Hagedorn, Leland Wong, Vida Kuang, Son of Paper, Rupert Estanislao, MC Amable, Clara Hsu, and Joël Tan.

And we'll be premiering brand new audio interviews from our 50th anniversary gala with KSW co-founder, Jim Dong, Jon Jang, Ellen Oh, and more!

This special edition was edited and sound designed by multi-disciplinary artist, Truc Nguyen, who will be joined in discussion with KSW co-director, Jason Bayani, and co-host of KSW's podcast, We Won't Move, Dara Del Rosario.
