Remembering Joyce Juan Manalo

We wanted to send our love, care, and condolences to all the family and friends of our former administrative manager, Joyce Juan Manalo. Joyce helped shepherd KSW through one of our toughest moments in the early 2010s and was a shining, supportive voice to so many of the artists who worked with us as she had been throughout the years as an artist and arts organizer in the SoMa since the late 90s. Joyce created needed space for so many artists and was also a co-founder of one of our central programs, Celebrate Your Body, along with other programs like Feast of Funny and AutoSOMAtic. Her impact remains heavy amongst all of us who have gotten the chance to work with her over the years and to whom she provided a space for us to grow. Thank you, Joyce, for everything. We will miss you, dearly.
