This year’s APAture Visual Arts Showcase features Palestinian artist, experimental musician, and writer Asma Ghanem, Ghanem’s work has earned her a Special Mention in The Palestin' & Out competition in Paris for her photography project “Bodies with notes” and 3rd prize in The Young Artist Award/The Hassan Al-Hourani Prize for her experimental music project "Homeland is...". Joining Ghanem is an incredible, diverse group of emerging painters, sculptors, and multimedia arists.
The theme for this year is (UN)BECOMING. Being human is to be part of a great transformational journey. By shedding outdated identities and practices that no longer serve us, we create space for personal and collective growth, allowing new ideas to emerge. Through reinvention, we reshape how we use art as a tool to heal, connect, and foster positive change. What are you (un)becoming?
